  2. Prepare 1 small yellow onion diced

  5. Prepare 1/4 cup fresh copped parsley
  6. Take 1 tbsp dry cilantro
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp chilli powder
  8. Prepare 1-2 tbsp pickling salt considering how salty you want it
  9. Prepare 2 tsp crushed red pepper

It’s easily customizable, can be made in advance, and has a great sweet and spicy flavor with plenty of acidity from lime juice. When the garlic is cooled enough to handle, squeeze the garlic cloves out of the paper. Put the diced tomatoes, Rotel, onion, carrot, jalapeño and all the roasted garlic into the base of a food processor. Pulse until the contents are fine and well blended.

Steps to make Spicy garlic salsa:
  1. Mix all ingredients in a med sized pan.
  2. Heat over med heat. Bring to a summer stirring occasionally.
  3. Simmer for 15 minutes. Stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
  4. Cool in fridge for at least one hour.
  5. Enjoy!!
  6. Side note* this recipe works well for canning salsa as well.

Four jalapeno peppers are diced and mixed into this very tomato salsa, so it ‘s quite nippy. And there ‘s a bit of garlic and cilantro to help it along as well. It ‘s finished with a splash of lime juice and chilled until ready to serve. This should be called Jen’s Fresh HOT and Spicy Salsa. My Husband loved it but we both love HOT Spicy Salsa.
